Carver 3rd graders in Ms. DeCarlo’s class brought their Santa Ana Zoo learning to life by building simple machines, exploring forces and motion, and tackling a hands-on design challenge.

Carver’s Speech & Debate Team competed in the SAUSD Winter Classic at Saddleback High School. In their first tournament, our Comets shined with 7 semifinalists and 1 finalist—an incredible start to the season!

Dear Carver Families,
As we bring this wonderful academic year to a close, I am filled with immense gratitude and pride for our incredible community. This year, we truly embraced our identity as a community school, building deep partnerships that support our families and uplift our students every single day.
Together, we rooted our identity in a school-wide focus on environmental literacy, and the results of your hard work are officially showing up where it matters. Our latest California Dashboard data is a massive testament to your dedication and partnership. Thanks to our collective efforts, we achieved remarkable academic growth across the board, including:
- English Language Development (ELD): An absolutely incredible leap from Red to Blue, completely surpassing the District!
- Science: Achieving Green, also surpassing the District!
- All Other Categories: Performing right on par, in perfect sync with the District.
This is a phenomenal achievement, and it is something we should all be deeply proud of. Because of the strong foundation we have built together this year, I am certain that this vital work will continue. More than that, I am confident that one day soon, Carver will officially become the very first Green Ribbon School in Santa Ana.
Thank you for your relentless dedication, your trust, and your unwavering support in socially and academically preparing our students for the world. Let’s keep this incredible momentum and continuity going into the future!

Community Schools Coordinator Miguel Guillen Highlights Student Success at Carver Leadership Council Meeting
Carver Elementary hosted a special Community Schools Leadership Council meeting! Partners shared their work supporting students, staff, and families, with a focus on English Language Arts and language development. Students who reclassified were honored with medals and certificates. Thank you to Board Member Valerie Magdaleno for joining!
